"JANUARY/FEBRUARY"
I have been asked in the past about what's going on with my book and the stories folk from various writing groups, friends and people whom have heard about my stories have all asked, so here is my first "bi-monthly" news letter.
TV MEDIA
The programs I am producing on our local "Tele-Media" Public Access Network, have continued. My Christmas special was repeated after people contacted the station asking to see it again. I have had 4 others shows shown through January, and will be heading back to the recording studio on January 30th to create another 4 or 5 programs.
RADIO
January has seen me doing several "internet" radio broadcasts.
January 26th I did a one hour interview on ARISTFIRST INTERNET RADIO one-to-one discussing the book, narating several stories
This went very well, and the interviewer "Vickie" really liked the book. In fact the show was repeated On Wednesday 28th as it had gone so well.
Feb 10th, my interview on "Around2It" will go out on the internet air waves, 6 times in 24hrs.
On the same day I will be doing a live interview for "Voice of America" internet radio
COMMENTS ON MY APPEARANCES
These are some comments I have received from my TV and RADIO appearances this month
....just could not go to bed without letting you know that i listened to your
broadcast throughout, you were so clear and i was so happy to hear you telling the stories. Maybe you ought to make CD's there might be a market for people that want to listen to you telling the stories. You have a lovely voice....
.....listened to your every word and its difficult to comment on everything, you were very humorous and are really good at keeping the attention of your audience.
...loved all the stories you read, the love you described about you and your wife was so romantic and unique.
Barry had a wonderful interview on ArtistFirst, on last night. I love That accent! Although I didn't get to hear the entire show, what I did hear was sensational. Barry read his story, "The Radio Show" and I teared up, just as I did when he read it on my show, "Around2It." Barry's voice came through loud and clear, but I could barely hear the radio host, I think her name was Vicky.
I loved your interview with Barry/Storyheart on your TV program last Friday, he was such a good guest. His stories sent goose bumps up my arms, and I am not afraid to tell you a few tears in my eyes... His humor and his voice made the hour fly bye.....
Great interview on your TV program on Friday, I already have followed up about purchasing a copy of the book.....
What a fascinating guest you had on your show, I hope you can get him back again, the two of you made the hour simply fly bye. I would love to hear more of Barry's views, and more of his stories and anecdotes
No new stories this month, though I have received a great review from WRITERS UNLIMITED
Also some of my stories are now being translated into Chinese by a "fan" in China, and placed on a site for people from her country to read. CHINESE TRANSLATIONS
